Affiliate marketing is promoting other people's products and receiving a financial benefit when people buy through your link. The way that it works is that you find a product that you want to be in affiliate for you will apply through their affiliate application process to become an affiliate with that company.
Once approved, you'll create content and you'll share the links for products that you want to promote. And these links are referral links which are cookie, which just means that anybody who clicks on them will go to the product website and there'll be like a tracking code placed on their browser so that if they come back and buy or if they buy on the spot, you will get credit for their purchase.
And as that happens, their purchase is linked to your account and you will benefit from their purchase. And according to whatever that payment agreement is, you may have to earn a certain amount before you get paid out. They may pay out on a certain schedule. But according to that, you will earn revenue based on the amount of product that people buy through your links.
